Career Fairs and Events

SDACCC hosts 3 main Career Events each year, two in Sioux Falls, SD and one in Rapid City, SD.  Each event is designed to connect employers with current students and alumni from post-secondary institutions across South Dakota.  These events are also open to the public.

alt   South Dakota Business, Industry, and Government Career and Internship Fair 

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020

This event connects employers with students and alumni from all South Dakota institutions looking to work in the field of Business, Industry or Government.  It is typically held in Sioux Falls in February or March and goes from 11:00-3:00 p.m.  Employers that attend this event should be looking for candidates that hold at least an associates degree up to a doctorate degree.

This event connects students and alumni to careers within school districts nationwide including South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Alaska, Hawaii, Arizona, Colorado, and many other states!  Candidates can expect to find Administrative Positions, Teacher Positions, Paraprofessional positions and Specialist positions.

This job fair connects employers to students and alumni from post-secondary institutions in order to secure positions in almost any field along with connecting employers to local community members and alumni.

Talent Now Hiring Events

 

Following the March 3rd, 2020 career fairs, students are invited to take advantage of the exclusive opportunity to attend one of several hiring events:

TALENT NOW HIRING EVENTS

  • Travel to one of five employers in the Sioux Falls area for a unique behind-the-scenes look into in-demand business and industries.
  • Connect with industry leaders to learn more about the company and their culture.
  • Gain a better understanding of the education and training requirements necessary to secure employment within the organization.
  • Network with employees and company executives.
  • Experience an organizational tour and group job shadowing experience.
  • Become part of the organization’s talent pipeline for internship and employment opportunities!

DETAILS:

  • Following the career fairs on March 3rd, students will be picked up at the Sioux Falls Convention Center at 3:00 pm and travel by bus to their chosen hiring event. The hiring event will take approximately 60 minutes, then students will be bussed back to the Convention Center.
